How to Use our Secure Shopping Cart

We think that our cart is pretty straightforward and easy-to-use, but there are just a few things you will need to know.

It will be helpful for you to now that our online inventory amounts are shown in whole numbers only, not fractions. They're rounded up - or down - to the nearest number. So if you're trying to enter 3 yards and you get a message indicating that we don't have that much available, try entering 2.75 or 2.5 instead. Similarly if you see that we have 2 yards in stock and you're wishing for just a little bit more... try entering 2.25 or 2.33.

Inventory totals are updated once a day, so while the numbers are quite current, they're not "real-time" totals. (Some customers order by phone or mail, and that's not reflected in the online inventory numbers until the next day.)

When checking out, you have the choice of registering, or going through the checkout process as a guest. The advantage to registering is that your name and address information are stored for you, so that you do not have to re-type that information on future orders. We never share this information with anyone, so your privacy is assured.

Please be sure to type your email address and phone number carefully! You will receive an automated email confirmation of your order (usually within a few minutes). If the email address you've provided is invalid, the order confirmation will not reach you. Also, depending on your "junk mail" filtering system on your computer, the order confirmation might be directed to your bulk mail (spam) folder.

Please note that the screen where we collect the credit card information is secure, as well as the following screen which gives you an order confirmation number. How can you tell it's secure? Two ways: look for the little "padlock" icon (often this appears in the lower corner of your screen), and also note that the web address begins with "https" instead of just "http". Since it is only the payment area which collects "sensitive" information, this is the only area which need to be secure.
